SEI Approved Eyewear Rule for 2020 Girls Lacrosse

As a reminder, there is a new US Lacrosse and NCJLA rule starting 1/1/2020 requiring any goggles used be SEI Certified with updated safety features. Players will not be allowed to play in NCJLA games (which start Feb 22) without approved goggles. It is OK for players to continue to wear their old non-compliant goggles to practice until games start.

Parent Action Required: Please check your daughter’s goggles and verify they are compliant. Even if you purchased new goggles this year, please verify they are on the SEI certified list. If needed please purchase/order approved goggles before games start. The official product listing for SEI certified models is available here.

To make it a bit easier to find,  we have provided the complete list of SEI certified goggles and helpful images so that you can identify the right logos.

Thanks,

PGLC Staff

List of approved SEI certified Goggles:

Brine

Cascade

Hummingbird Sports

STX

Under Armour

Dynasty II

Dynasty Rise

LX 18 (headgear with integrated eyewear)

PolyArc

Hero

2 See-S Youth

2 See-S Adult

Focus S

Focus S Titanium

4 Sight Plus-S

4-Sight Plus-S (youth)

Rookie S

Charge 2 Ti

Glory Ti

Futures

*Note that all approved STX goggles now have an “S” designation. So the “4Sight Plus-S” is approved, but the previously available “4Sight Plus” is no longer approved.

SEI Logo

The newly approved goggles should now have the SEI logo imprinted on them, as you can see below. For 2020, if you have goggles that are on the SEI certified list but missing the SEI logo, they are considered legal to play. This is the only exception for not having the logo.
